For some reason, it has always counted this folder as "Other Media" and has never let me change it to anything else despite my best efforts. I 'only' have a FireTV 4K 2nd Generation. The FireTV Stick 4K may be able to Direct Play. The Xbox as well as PlayStation is known to have limits. With the official support of Plex, you can turn your Raspberry Pi into a media center Sort all of your media in the conventions listed above, and your Plex media. If Direct Play is working you can get a cheap NAS. Play a file, ideally a 'heavy' one (50 Mbps or higher, HDR, Dolby Atmos, etc.).

I'm running the database on my Windows laptop. Install a Plex Media Server somewhere and the Plex Client on your TV. Remux means that the container is changed. All the menus, extras, etc are left out so you get just the movie. If you’re talking about a UHD HDR Remux it would be an mkv with the full 4K HDR video and HD audio from the disc along with subtitles. I've hit the scan media button when there was no new movies in the folder before and this never happened. Set my TZ in the variable you provide and now the Webui is working and the scripts show logging but 4k script starts and immeadiately finishes. Full quality video/audio/subtitles taken from its original source and put in mkv container. Is there anything I can do here? And how can I avoid it in the future? It feels like I lost something I spent countless hours of my life on with no explanation. Even worse, when I try to use one of the backups from a few days ago, Plex gives me an error saying it can't find it's database. It counts them all as new movies despite the fact that I haven't touched any of the files in a long time. If its a remux of 4K UHD, those peak at up to 140 mbps, hence why I recommend gigabit. A handful have their custom posters and thumbnails, but all of these films have lost their text metadata (director, description, title reverted to file name, etc.) If I had rated the film, it remembers what rating I gave it, but that's it. Wired gigabit + Shield + Plex I dont care how many people say they have the bestest wifi ever, you will need to hardline for a reliable solution. For some unknown reason, almost half of my films lost their metadata.

Just now, I hit "Scan Library Files" by accident after I manually entered a fresh batch of films. Also, it can function as a tool to remux an MKV file into MP4 format. I do it all manually because I don't like a lot of the extra features that the function forces on me if I use it. I have a library of over 1,000 movies that I don't let the "Match" function touch.
