It's 2021 now and with Safari supporting web extensions and all that newfangled jazz, I figure this topic could use another look. You can go to all that trouble if you want to, or you can just let 1Blocker automatically do its thing.I know there's probably some thread somewhere in this forum about iOS/Safari content blockers, but wager that was started when it was new on iOS, back when big bezels and Penny-Farthings were still in fashion. So if you hit the same sites on a regular basis, you can customize your visit to only show the elements you want, speed up page loading and minimize data even more. But you can also take things further by filtering out social widgets, custom fonts, comments and even ignore CSS page elements. In order to make a living and support a staff, the site either advertises something they have to sell or something others have to sell. All those annoying ads are what fund the content. The reality is that we pay for websites to exist.
